Valuations Auction Commission Agent Collection Management

Criteria

The methodology of our valuation will be acceptable to the National Audit Office and incorporate the conditions that an institution will have agreed with the relevant ministerial bodies including the Australian Valuers Office strategy proposals. Documentation will meet the National Audit Office and or the state Auditor General standards.

Handling of objects is kept to an absolute minimum and is only to be permitted under the direct supervision of the Manager, Registration and/or the Registration staff. As a general rule access to original objects would not necessarily be required for valuation purposes. However it should be noted that some items would have to be physically inspected if the registration details/data is incomplete. The valuation would be, as far as possible conducted using information from the institution’s collections management system, valuation records, acquisition files and/or other relevant records.
